We had a wonderful end of the year with a wonderful buffet. I can only recommend the restaurant at the German Wine Gate. Great service from the head waiter Matthias, he was very attentive, with friendliness, passion and a lot of humor he really does his work very conscientiously. Kudos also to the kitchen for the entire meal. A great turn of the year with a fantastically beautiful ambience in Silent-Rechtenbach. We'd love to come back

Hmm, December is the most celebrated and decorated month for me. You can also experience this on the plates of many restaurants. So I wouldn't have just wanted the simple rump steak with fried potatoes, but also some decoration (orange slice, star fruit, cocktail tomatoes, lettuce leaves, rosemary sprigs, etc.). Because, as we know, the eye also eats. The not necessarily chic Christmas decorations in the restaurant also don't match the way the waiter addresses the guest with "Madame" and "Monsieur", which is intended to create the impression of French elegance. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly conditions, the visit was super nice and can only be recommended. We come here often and have had a long journey and the food is always great.

Were there for Christmas dinner. The ambience, food and service couldn't be beat. Wild herb salad, duck, cordon bleu including the cinnamon parfait were outstanding☝️Very attentive service and the surrounding area with a fireplace etc. was also very pleasant. We felt very comfortable and absolutely enjoyed ourselves.

The staff was very polite and humorous, it was very pleasant to be entertained with a few little jokes before, during and after the meal. The food, a dream. Unfortunately, due to the holiday, the menu was somewhat limited, but from the salad to the dessert it was a real treat for the palate. Thank you for the nice evening and the wonderful food. We'd love to come back. P.S.: The 'Cordon-Bleu with a difference' is definitely worth recommending.
